Sobre deslocamento forma do município, 78/321 pessoas (24,3%) saíram de Guapimirim nos seis meses anteriores ao estudo, a maior parte deles, nos últimos 15 dias (41 indivíduos; 52,6%), sendo duas pessoas para a região amazônica. Dos indivíduos da amostra somente 10,9% (35/322) costumavam usar mosquiteiro para dormir e desses, 71,4% (25/35) referiam utilizá-lo sempre. Ao questionar especificamente sobre a frequência de entrada na floresta atividades como coleta de frutas, caminhar, trabalhar ou atividades de lazer, 76,6% (246/321) responderam que não andavam pela mata, 3,1% (10/321) andavam ocasionalmente (escalar montanha, caminhar), 10,3% (33/321) frequentemente e 10,0% (32/321) diariamente, pois suas casas ficam dentro da mata. Três pessoas não responderam a essa pergunta.
